Product description
The TOGA GC 2 enables the analysis of up to 11 dissolved gases as well as the precise determination of total gas content. For high sample throughput, autosamplers for 16 or 32 samples are available.
Intelligent data evaluation
An integrated expert system supports fast, reliable, and user-friendly interpretation of results, enabling efficient evaluation of measurement data.
Standards-compliant and reliable measurement technology
The TOGA GC 2 was specifically developed for fast and reliable measurement routines. The two-step analytical process fully complies with the international standards ASTM D 3612 and IEC 60567.
Proven diagnostics for insulation systems
For decades, dissolved gas analysis (DGA) has been regarded as the standard method for condition assessment of insulation systems. The TOGA GC 2 stands out for its ease of use, high measurement accuracy, and excellent reproducibility. System calibration can be performed at any time, even during ongoing measurement routines.
This device complies with the following standards
ASTM D 3612, IEC 60567
Total gas content
Total gas content is a crucial parameter for a reliable insulation diagnosis. The TOGA analysis system is currently the only system capable of precisely determining total gas content during the degassing process itself. An increase in total gas content is a clear indicator of faults within a transformer, which may be thermal, electrical, or mechanical in nature.
The measurement process is carried out in two highly selective and precise steps, achieving a quality level comparable to classical laboratory analyses. The gases dissolved in the oil sample are released by multicyclic vacuum extraction in accordance with ASTM D 3612 and IEC 60567. The extracted gas sample is then automatically transferred to the gas chromatograph. Gas chromatographic analysis is performed using a thermal conductivity detector (TCD), a flame ionization detector (FID), and a methanizer, ensuring high selectivity and sensitivity.
All measurement results are displayed in ppm, with a detection limit of 0.1 ppm for hydrocarbons. Both new transformer oils and oils after maintenance or operating cycles can be analyzed reliably. In addition to the measurement results, all relevant measurement conditions are recorded and stored together with all parameters in a measurement data file. The chromatogram is displayed in real time during the measurement and, together with the result table, can be printed as a test report.
An integrated expert system automatically interprets the analysis results according to internationally recognized diagnostic methods, such as the Duval method and IEC guidelines, thereby supporting a fast and reliable condition assessment of the insulation system.
